Belfairs is a wonderful, substantial 1930’s house with a stylish interior. It is set in a 1/4 acre plot on the private Summerley Estate in Felpham, West Sussex. It is situated just one row back from the sea and is approx a 1 minute walk to the quiet beach. The house is also less than a 20 minute drive to Goodwood, the South Downs National Park and likewise to the historic towns of Arundel and Chichester.

The house is extremely spacious (over 2,000 sq ft) with tasteful décor and is full of character. It is very well laid out for guests to enjoy both a holiday by the sea or walking on the South Downs.

There is a huge utility room for walking boots and beach paraphernalia and the beautiful wooden floors throughout the ground floor also make it practical and dog friendly (£25 charge per dog per week).

The living room is spacious and sunny with 3 sofas and a working fire. The TV is set up for freesat and there is also a Roku stick with remote so you can pick up most free TV and catch up TV from anywhere in the world + DVD player. There is a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room (with second TV) and adjoining dining room which seats 8 as well as a shower room off the utility room and cloakroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs there are 2 very large and bright bedrooms with windows looking towards the sea and 3 further spacious bedrooms bringing a total sleeping capacity up to 10 guests. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room and there is also a family bathroom on this floor. There are 5 bedrooms in all: the master bedroom has a kingsize bed, bedroom 2 has 3 single beds, bedroom 3 and 4 have double beds and bedroom 5 has a large single bed which has a hand basin in the room.

There is a huge garden with different areas for guests to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and lazy BBQs on a summer’s day. There is parking for 3 or more cars.

Arundel is only 11 miles from Goodwood Racecourse and Motor  Circuit which are the homes of the infamous Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Glorious Goodwood making it the top destination for accommodation over the festivals.

With 3 families there was so much space for adults to breathe and the children to run around inside and out. The location is amazing in a quiet residential area with a 1 minute walk to the beach and that’s where we kept finding ourselves. A lovely 1930s property, with fantastic hosts and we’d go back again.

We had a wonderful week in this lovely well equipped house. We were an extended family group of 6 adults and 3 children under 2 years. The large garden is very safe and perfect for the children to play in. It is very close to the beach which was perfect with young children as we could go back and forth as often as we wanted. We also enjoyed walking along the front to Felpham, visiting Bognor and walking in the Downs. The fish and chips recommended in the extensive and very helpful information was excellent! We would definitely stay again.

My family and I spent a wonderful weekend at Belfairs in March. The house exceeded all expectations, it was stunning with plenty of space. the beds were amazingly comfortable and it was extremely well equipped. In spite of the poor weather Belfairs more than made up for this and although the house is large the beautiful wood fire makes it cosy and warm. Laura makes the entire process from booking to departure stress free and is a joy to deal with. Couldn't recommend highly enough. A fantastic weekend. Thank you Laura and Belfairs.

Fabulous stay in a lovely holiday house close to the beach. This delightful, beautifully equipped property, made a fabulous holiday home for our 2 families (ages 12 to 52). The access to the beach and the sea was were convenient. The house decor was well designed and very homely, we were even welcomed with flowers in the dining and the living room. The five bedrooms are beautifully furnished and very cozy. We were given lots of tips for activities in the area and as the weather was good for late autumn we had a great week. Would love to stay again at Belfairs house.

We had the pleasure of staying at the “Large Beach House By the Sea” over the 3 day weekend. Laura was extremely responsive, and everything was perfect. We particularly appreciated the hand written notes explaining how everything worked around the house. The house itself is extremely cozy, while still being very spacious… although we spent the majority of our time barbecuing in the beautiful garden, despite being a quick stroll from the sea. All in all, it was a wonderfully relaxing weekend in a beautiful location, and every one of us is hoping to come back to this house again.
