This beautiful five-bedroom holiday home is nestled in the charming village of Charlton, less than 4 miles from the historic Goodwood Motor Circuit. Whether you’re joining us for the exhilarating Festival of Speed, the nostalgic Goodwood Revival, or simply seeking a luxurious Sussex retreat, this is a wonderful house and garden in the magical surroundings of the South Downs.

The heart of the home is a well-equipped kitchen that flows seamlessly into a light-filled conservatory, offering both comfortable seating and dining areas. Upstairs, five thoughtfully appointed bedrooms await. The master suite features a sumptuous king-size bed and private en-suite bathroom, while the second king-size bedroom boasts its own en-suite shower room. Three additional bedrooms – one with twin singles, one with a standard double, and one with a small double – share a family bathroom. This flexible sleeping arrangement comfortably accommodates up to ten guests, making it perfect for extended family stays or groups of friends.

The outdoor space is equally inviting, with a beautiful private garden offering the perfect spot to unwind after an exciting day at the races or exploring the South Downs. The private parking for two cars right at the front door adds convenience to your stay. Additional off-road parking is available nearby if required.

Dog owners will appreciate our pet-friendly policy – well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you on your stay (£25.00 per dog, per week). The house serves as an ideal starting point for countless spectacular walks through the South Downs National Park. From gentle meadow strolls to invigorating hill climbs with breathtaking views across the Sussex countryside, there’s a perfect walk for every ability. The nearby network of footpaths includes ancient woodland trails, historic drovers’ routes, and scenic paths leading to hidden valleys and chalk escarpments – making every dog walk an adventure.

Just a five-minute stroll away lies the fabulous the characterful country pub The Fox Goes Free, a known for its excellent restaurant, warm welcome, and dog-friendly atmosphere. It’s the perfect spot to refresh yourself after a day of walking or racing excitement.

The surrounding area offers a wealth of attractions just waiting to be explored. The magnificent Petworth House, a fifteen-minute drive away, houses a world-class art collection within its stately rooms and ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped deer park. Just ten minutes from your doorstep, the Weald & Downland Living Museum brings history to life with its collection of rescued historic buildings and working Tudor kitchen.
