Set in the heart of Arundel is The Old Cornstores: a large three bedroomed property brimming with glorious English old-world charm. There is a large family kitchen, living room, bathroom, shower room, cloakroom, snooker area and a spacious private terrace.

There are wooden floors throughout the daytime living areas which gives the house a lovely traditional feel and makes it practical for family stays. Well behaved dogs are allowed for a fee of £25 per week but they are not allowed to be left at the property unattended.

The kitchen is full of traditional character and there is a Rayburn to cook on which also keeps the house warm throughout the day in the cooler months. Over the summer this oven is switched off but there is a small oven/grill and there is a 5 ring hob also in the kitchen. Please be aware that it is totally your choice whether to have the Rayburn on or not but it isn’t the sort of cooker that can be turned on for each meal as it takes about 4 hours to reach full heat.  The kitchen table comfortably seats 6 guests.

There is a beautiful double aspect living room with fireplace and two large sofas. Bedroom one has a double bed with en suite shower room, bedroom 2 is a double and there are 2 single beds in bedroom 3. There is a large family bathroom and a cloakroom on the ground floor just off the terrace.

The Old Cornstores is located at the end of Tarrant Street which is the most vibrant street in Arundel where there are many cafes, restaurants and antique shops to be enjoyed.  Arundel Castle is less than 10 minutes walk from the house and there are plenty of places of interest to be explored without even having to get into the car (please refer to the section marked Arundel for full information).

Reviews

Fantastic location, lovely space for chilling out when at the house. Very lovely and clean on arrival and we knew we could message Graham the owner if we needed any help.
Zoe - July 2021
Great property to explore Arundel and the surrounding area. The house is in a central but quiet location. The rooms are all a good size and we had a very relaxing stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the house has good wifi. We would definitely stay here again, there is lots to explore in the area and you can see a lot by train if you don't drive.
Jane - June 2021
Great spot for exploring the local amenities on foot yet still in a quiet spot. theres lots of space and the pool table is great. The rayburn/aga is a great sources of heat and also cooks a mean roast dinner. Parking can be tricky but we always managed to get a space. Graham is always close by if needed and had some great tips on where to go for walking/cycling and Laura made the whole process very straight forward. This please is full of the historic charm which fits with the town and is very cute. the living room has a great big window sill that our dog loved sitting on and being nosey. its a great place and we would love to come back when the town is open

This lovely, traditional house was perfect for our trip to Arundel. Right by the river and very short walk to great locals pubs, fine restaurants and castle etc. Our teenagers loved playing pool on the top floor whilst we enjoyed the open fire and cosy feel of the place. Great hosts, thank you!
Henry - February 2020
Lovely accommodation with close proximity to locals shops, Galleries and Arundel Castle
Nick - August 2019
This is a fantastic place to stay in Arundel, so would definitely recommend. The house is tastefully decorated and has 3 spacious bedrooms. Communication with Laura was easy and everything went smoothly with our trip.
