The Nook is a charming 3 bedroomed country cottage in the centre of Arundel with a pretty courtyard garden and private parking bay.
The front door opens into a pretty hallway with a study on the left and large living room with woodburner and comfortable seating for 5 guests. There is a dining area which seats 6 and well-equipped kitchen, utility room and cloakroom. Guests will love the pretty South West facing garden area with outside seating and BBQ to get the most of the glorious West Sussex sunshine in the warmer months.
Upstairs there are two good size double bedrooms (the master bedroom has a king size bed and bedroom 2 has a standard double bed) and a family bathroom. Bedroom 2 has a large balcony leading straight off the bedroom. On the floor plan that there is a dressing room on this floor – this not for guest use – the owners use it to store personal items.
There is a further small bedroom which has a large and very comfortable futon bed with bathroom area on the second floor but do be aware that this is under the eaves so there is restricted head height and sloped ceilings. It is only suitable for younger guests who do not have mobility problems.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but they are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. There is a charge for dogs of £25 per week. This house is not suitable for children under 12.
Arundel is a small town just 10 minutes’ drive from the beach in the South Downs. The town is bursting with traditional character and there are many antique shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy as well as boating trips and fabulous walking along the River Arun and up into Arundel Park. The town is a favourite with guests who flock to Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and one of the country’s most prestigious horse racing meetings – Glorious Goodwood and nearby attractions include Petworth House, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and the glorious sandy beaches of the Witterings.
