This pretty cottage is set in historic Arundel overlooking Arundel Riding Stables, about 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of town.

On the ground floor is a living area with 2 sofas and a dining table which comfortably seats 6 guests.  The modern kitchen is well equipped to prepare family meals and there is a ground floor toilet.  At the back of the cottage is a lovely walled patio with table and chairs.  Please be aware that there are steps up to the garden and steep steps within the garden which makes it unsuitable for young children unsupervised and for those who are less mobile.

Upstairs is a family bathroom and 3 bedrooms.  The master bedroom has an impressive king size four poster bed.  Bedroom 2 has a sunny aspect onto the courtyard garden and a double bed.  Bedroom 3 has is a single bed (with additional pull out single bed) bringing the maximum sleeping capacity to 6 guests.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but they are not allowed on the furniture, upstairs or to be left unattended at the property.  There is a charge of £25 per dog for stays up to 7 days and £25 for each subsequent week

Minimum booking length low & mid season is 3 nights and high season is 7 nights.

We have a primary renter minimum age requirement of 30 years old.

Arundel is a wonderful town with so much to do.  It is dominated by the magnificent Arundel Castle (open end March to October) with its beautiful walled gardens and castle tours.  Also in town there is a museum, the Cathedral and lovely walks through Arundel Park.  If you walk down the hill in the park you will come to Swanbourne Lake where you can hire a boat to go rowing.  A little further on is a bird wildlife centre.  Also, close to the centre of town is mini golf, public tennis courts and a large lido all a short walk away.

If you drive south to the coast (about 15 minutes) you will come to Littlehampton which has the design award winning restaurant the East Beach Café and a part stone, part sand beach.  The other side of the river in Littlehampton is a great fish and chip café called the West Beach Café with a part stone, part sandy beach.  A little further away is Clymping beach, Middleton Beach and the most well known beach in the area West Wittering.

Reviews

We had a wonderful break, the house was perfect for my family of 5. It was so cosy and clean and was a lovely touch to have the Christmas decs. The property is perfectly located near to shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants but still be in a peaceful location. We parked our car on the first day of the break and never needed it again until we left as there is so many fabulous walks and sightseeing that you can do in Arundel. We enjoyed it so much we would love to come and stay again.

Large house in a great location in Arundel, we had a great stay here. Laura was very easy to communicate with and always gave a quick reply. House was very clean and there is a large living/dining room. This was perfect for our Christmas trip and I would highly recommend to anyone especially families.

The property was as advertised and fantastically clean when we arrived. There is a guide written by the owners with some great tips and ideas on things to do. Arundel is a stunning town with lots to do. It's also close to other tourist areas. Would definitely recommend.

We are a family of 4. Our two boys are aged 14 and snhouse was the perfect place for us to stay. It was walking distance from all the historic sites in Arudel, wonderful walks along the river Arun and a short car journey to the south coast and the beach! We just loved our stay. The cottage was well equipped and met our every needs including TV viewing for they boys. The kitchen has everything you need and the back courdyard comes with a BBQ! We hope to be back! What a perfect family holiday and we were really quite sad to leave! Thank you to Laura, who ensured that the cottage was clean, tidy and welcoming on our arrival and her communication and answering of questions was alway in a timely manner!

Very nice house, perfectly equipped for 6 persons when extra bed is moved to another bedroom. Cosy country town with interesting shops and loads of pubs, tea shops etc. Arundel castle is worth a journey by itself as other attractions nearby (Chichester, Weald and Downland, Petworth House...)
